Light Industrial Assembler
**Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Light Industrial Assembler responsible for mechanical assembly tasks. The role involves using hands or air wrenches, utilizing a tape measure, and performing production assembly. The candidate will be responsible for lifting up to 35 lbs, operating a JIG/man lift to go up to 4ft, loading and unloading valves into assembly fixtures, and transporting valves to workstations. The assembler will also work off blueprints and work instructions, use assembly/torque tools, perform quality checks, retrieve replacement parts from the stockroom, install and remove bubble test fittings, and complete paperwork for assembly operations. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical assembly using hands or air wrenches. + Utilize a tape measure for precise measurements. + Conduct production assembly tasks. + Lift up to 35 lbs as needed. + Operate a JIG/man lift to reach up to 4ft for picking parts. + Load and unload valves into assembly fixtures. + Transport valves to designated workstations. + Work from blueprints and follow work instructions. + Use assembly and torque tools. + Perform quality checks to ensure product standards. + Retrieve replacement parts from the stockroom. + Install and remove bubble test fittings. + Complete all necessary paperwork for assembly operations. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical assembly experience. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Ability to use a tape measure accurately. + Experience in production assembly. + Familiarity with blueprints and schematic reading. + Knowledge of machine operation and general labor tasks. + Experience in repair and construction. + Ability to perform quality checks. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 1 year of recent manufacturing experience. + Manual assembly experience is preferred. + Experience with air ratchet wrenches, manual wrenches, pliers, and clamps. + Attention to detail. + Ability to follow work instructions. + Experience in light industry and production environments. **Why Work Here?** We offer great benefits including affordable insurance options ($25 for single candidates and $100 for family insurance), 3 weeks of paid holidays, and a 3% contribution to a 401(k). **Work Environment** The work environment is climate-controlled but can be oily due to the nature of the product manufactured. The position offers three shifts: 1st shift (7am-3:30pm or 5:00am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7:30am). Training will be provided on the first shift for 3 weeks. Employees have two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. The dress code requires khakis, Dickies, or blue jeans (no workout pants), and a t-shirt without offensive or derogatory language.
