What You'll Do

Demonstrate an understanding of competencies and responsibilities described in the Lighting Designer 1 position Support and begin to lead meetings with team members representing PAE under the LUMA brand at the digression of the project lead Complete assigned work on time and delegate basic tasks with instruction from the project lead Guide/lead the design direction of specific spaces in the project at the discretion of the project lead Support development and production of the lighting control design Peer mentorship of junior staff in design, production and calculations Apply knowledge of lighting calculations, design graphics production, and support mock-ups Apply knowledge of basic lighting product specification, creating luminaire schedules and support of advanced product research Basic technical detailing of lighting systems Develop the ability to understand and participate in project design and construction phases Support construction phase reviews of submittals and RFIs and attend site visits Participate in lighting industry organizations and events to build supporting relationships and knowledge Demonstrate accountability as an integral member of the design teams in which you are involved

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:

Detailed understanding of light’s impact in Architecture Consistent practice of professionalism Time management and organization of multiple roles on projects 

 

 

What You Bring

College Degree (or equivalent design related training) required, preferable in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design or related field 2 years practicing lighting design or 1 to 2 years as a PAE Lighting Designer 1

 

What We Offer 

 

Hiring Base Salary Range: $60,700-$81,200 annual depending on location  This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay

 

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
