Limited License Rad Tech Care Guide - Central Region
Overview $5000 Sign On Bonus - Prorated on hours worked per week. This position is available to individuals currently enrolled in or graduated from the Limited Licensure Rad Tech program from Control the Dose Program. Opportunties are available at various OSF OnCall clinics across the Peoria area. Expected pay for this position is $21.30 - $27.87/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Limited Diagnostic Radiographer Care Guide is responsible for patient registration, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, preparing patients for radiologic procedures, performing x-rays within their scope, discharging, and following up with patients. It is a role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their secondary guests through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting, working closely with the provider and other clinical staff. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families' significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. This position requires floating to various facilities. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - High School Diploma/ GED Experience: - 1 year healthcare experience Licensure/ Certification: - Limited scope testing certification provided by ARRT - American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) Other Skills/ Knowledge: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. - May be required to float between clinics as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: - Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record. - Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty. Knowledge of medical terminology. - Knowledge of Epic. - Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette. - Knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion, good judgement, diplomacy, decision making, and a customer service attitude.
