Somerby is looking for a line cook to prepare food to the exact specifications of our Executive Chef and Sous Chef. Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $20.00- $22.00 per hour


Job Tasks (Duties) including but not limited to: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine's instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members Keep a safe work environment for coworkers and staff Requirements: Cooking experience preferred, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook  Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures  Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks  Familiar with industry’s best practices   Facility Benefits: Full-time and seasonal positions available (Full-time candidate will be eligible to receive insurance benefits, PTO, and 401k Free meal when you work at least a five-hour shift  Discount on meals ordered from our restaurants  Discount on merchandise in the Golf Shop Free golf privileges during low traffic times (Tee times must be approved by the Golf Shop) Company Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Vision insurance  Experience level:  1 year of experience in restaurant   Restaurant type: Bar  Casual dining restaurant  Fast casual restaurant  Fine dining restaurant  Shift: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Night shift Weekend availability
