Overview of the role 

We are looking for TWO (2) Full-Time Line Cooks. One (1) for AM Shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm and One (1) for PM Shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm.

Elevage Soho Kitchen and Bar seeks a passionate and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook I is responsible for preparing high-quality food, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures, and working in a fast-paced environment to meet service demands. This role requires collaboration with the kitchen team and maintaining the restaurant's standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

What you have 

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Culinary certification is a plus.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen or equivalent setting.Experience with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.A sense of ownership in everything that you doServsafe certification, or ability to gain/renew the certificate.Proven experience in the ability to make great food.Organizational skills and you can maintain a neat and tidy station.Ability to work cleanly, effectively, and efficiently while under pressure Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and culinary techniques.Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

What you’ll do 

Prepare basic vegetable cuts and sauces and perform minor butchery of proteins as required.Ensure proper preparation and cooking of food during meal periods alongside other line cooks under the supervision of the chefs.Plate dishes with precision to meet the chef’s specifications and elevate guest dining experiences.Handle daily preparation of ingredients for the regular menu and any upcoming specials.Monitor the inventory of food items and prep materials and promptly notify the chef when new items need to be ordered.Ensure the organization, cleanliness, and readiness of your assigned station, restocking and rotating prep as necessary.Participate in properly handling and storing food to maintain the organization of coolers and other storage areas.Assist fellow cooks as needed during peak service times to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations.Collaborate with kitchen staff and communicate effectively to ensure seamless service.Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment, including daily kitchen equipment cleaning and assisting with dishwashing as needed.Stock and rotate products in a timely manner, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.Perform other duties as assigned by the manager, ensuring all tasks align with the restaurant's standards of excellence.
