Primary Purpose:We are looking for a passionate and creative Line Cook to join our team. You should be motivated and eager to grow your culinary talents in a dynamic kitchen environment.Responsibilities:Assist the Chef in the production and preparation of food for kitchen, cafeteria, banquet, dining room, and fine dining.Develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods.Enhance your skills in using knives and various kitchen equipment.Recreate menu items for the restaurant and banquets, ensuring consistency in cooking and presentation.Minimize food waste through effective cross-utilization of ingredients.Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables and cutting meat.Follow standard kitchen sanitization practices.Properly store all food and other items.Maintain responsibility for the quality of ingredients used.Qualifications:Active Food Handler’s certification or the ability to obtain it within the first 60 days of employment.Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds.A desire to exceed expectations and an energetic personality.Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred.Strong desire to learn and develop skills, working with the culinary leadership team to create menus that reflect seasonal availability and the restaurant’s concept.
