Key Responsibilities:

Line Engineers are part of a service engineering team that provide 24/7 engineering technical support for United Airlines Worldwide fleet of operational aircraft to ensure the timely return to service. Provide engineering support for a wide range of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, engines as well as operational engineering functions. Must be able to understand, analyze and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance or repair of aircraft and their components. Should be able to logically approach problem solving, define an aircraft maintenance program or configurations and ensure a safe and legal operation. You will be responsible for working with both internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations and failure investigations.

Develops engineering solutions and implementation plans, and overall management of project implementation, which can include obtaining OEM and or FAA approvals as requiredDisposition configuration and part effectivity questions from maintenance which may include review of OEM Manuals, Service Bulletins (SBs), supplemental type certs (STC), etc.Organize and manage the workflow and priorities for out of service ac recovery which includes coordinating work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiencyCoordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiencyQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):B.S Degree in Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience in EngineeringEntry level to 5 yearsAbility to analyze complex technical issues, detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modificationsExcellent verbal and technical writing skills neededMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $81,700.00 to $111,320.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
