Hire Dynamics is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Team Lead job in Mebane, NC. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are running smoothly and on time, and that end products are of acceptable quality and execution of the daily production according to the planning and to meet the production targets of safety, quality, Scrap, and yield. This client in Mebane, NC is significantly expanding — building two new lines and are seeking individuals to come join their growing team.

Responsibilities for this Team Lead job include:

Supervise the production team in partnership with the Production Supervisor.  Support the training and the development of the production team Lead initiatives to meet productivity targets, i.e., Monthly production budget and scrap targets. Pro-active attitude towards continuous improvement regarding waste, safety, quality, and efficiency Must be able to fulfil all shift leader responsibilities independently after training period. Provide an atmosphere the promotes teamwork and emphasizes the TOP values. Assist with the start-up of the packaging machines and the changeover to a new format Mount and change the foil rolls, sticker rolls etc. Supply the cartoning machine Monitor the proper operation of the machines and make adjustments where necessary Check for possible glue residue on carton Check for the availability of proper labels Inspect the proper inkjet settings (stamp check) Check the metal detector Check availability for the correct type of stickers Check seal integrity Assist with the stopping the machines at the end of production (emptying the conveyor etc.) Signal and register technical malfunctions and abnormalities of the packing material Perform small technical interventions upon malfunction Clean the packaging machines Change and identify the containers for products intended for rework or feed Supervision of the overall tidiness and cleanliness of the packaging area and the warehouse Knowledge and application of necessary GMP & safety rules and standards

Qualifications for Team Lead:

Food processing and baking knowledge is a plus Insight in equipment operation and mechanical components Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices Basic math skills Intermediate computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Insight in equipment operation and mechanical components Prior experience with leading and motivating a team in a production environment, ideally in an FDA regulated environment Experience on the Line the job is open for is a plus.  Experience operating packaging equipment is preferred Experience with inspections and/or quality control Good communication skills, both written and oral Experience with SAP
