Line Mechanic
**Job Title: Line Mechanic/Line Lead** **Job Description** The Line Mechanic plays an important role in maintaining and repairing our equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The successful candidate will need to possess the following disciplines: Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Pneumatic, Troubleshooting, Fabrication, and light machining. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking skilled Industrial Mechanic to apply their skills in a company that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, team-based environment, as well as a safety-first mindset. 2nd shift: 3pm - 12am Monday - Friday Essential Functions: - Maintain, install, and repair electrical/electromechanical and mechanical component systems for concrete masonry plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. - Read blueprints and schematics. - Weld and fabricate when needed. - Foster a team environment. - Safely operate motor vehicles and other mobile equipment including man lift, forklift, skid steer, and others as necessary for plant repair/maintenance. - Plan work effectively and keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. - Perform and drive preventative maintenance on all equipment to help reduce unnecessary downtime. - Correct and/or report any conditions that may be hazardous to employees, contractors, etc. - Work safely with members of the maintenance department and all other manufacturing personnel to minimize downtime and maximize quality and productivity of the production lines. - Quickly assess issues during breakdowns, communicate with equipment operators, and apply troubleshooting, diagnostic, and knowledge to repair equipment efficiently. - Perform building and grounds maintenance. **Primary Skills** + Mechanical troubleshooting + Hydraulic repair + Machine rebuild **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in New Holland, Pennsylvania. **Work Environment** Ability to work extended hours to meet production demands. Perform all work in accordance with safety policies. The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements. Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery. Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting.
