Line Operator

Summary: Seeking a Line Operator to operate the thermoplastic extruder line, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Requirements:

Understand operation of entire line including extrusion process. Ability to assemble, disassemble, and clean extruder heads. Knowledge of tooling selection and installation. Familiarity with compound conveyor systems, dryers, power switches, temperature, air, water controls. Experience with payoff and take-up equipment operations. Understanding of internal/industry codes for compounds and conductors. ISO requirements knowledge for Aerial line.

Preferred Skills:

Conceptual understanding of conductor welding principles.

Responsibilities:

Comply with company safety rules at all times. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work area. Set up entire line mechanically for cable design manufacturing. Monitor raw material supply for continuous operation. Operate welder for conductor welding to maintain line continuity. Set-up and operate pay-off and take-up equipment. Perform preventive measures on components to avoid downtime. Conduct measurements to ensure specification compliance using approved devices. Generate product identification tags and maintain accurate records. Prepare extruded cable for electrical testing when needed. Take corrective actions to ensure product quality.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
