GENERAL SUMMARY (Generally 4-6 sentences demonstrating key outcomes of role): The Line Operator position, which reports to the Production Supervisor, provides support to Plant Operations. Qualifications for this first shift positions include:
Must possess the ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence all employees to embrace it, and lead the change initiative.Must be able to multitask running the production line with continuous improvement projects and programs.Must possess the ability to train a diverse group of hourly employees.Ongoing passion to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to deliver bottom-line results. Ability to use logic to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads.Lead shift team meeting – set shift direction.Responsible for first level of team conflict resolutionStrong leadership, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skillsinitiates problem-solving at team level when it happens.Promote Safety and Employee Relations

• PARTNER WITH OPERATORS AND MAINTENANCE TO TROUBLESHOOT AND CORRECT MECHANICAL ISSUES
• CHECK TARGET SETTING FOR THE VARIETY WE ARE RUNNING THAT DAY
• TAKE AND MAINTAIN WEIGHTS AND MAKE ADJUSTMENT AS NEEDED BASED ON SPC RULES
• FILL OUT RELIEF SLIPS
• FILL OUT DOWNTIME SHEET
• HELP WORK IN PRODUCT
• WORK WITH DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM
• TAKE PRODUCT THAT KICKS OFF AT THE METAL DETECTOR TO QA
• TURN IN ALL PAPERWORK AT THE END OF SHIFT
• MAKE SURE RACKED BREAD IS GETTING ADDED BACK ON -LINE
• KEEP AREA CLEAN
2. Assist Supervisor by providing direction for area employees:
• PROVIDE FRONT LINE DIRECTION AS NEEDED IN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
• MAKE THE CALL ON FIRST PRODUCT AND SECONDS
• CONTACT SUPERVISOR IF PRODUCT IS OUT OF SPECIFICATION
• WORK WITH SUPERVISOR AND SUPPORT DEPARTMENTS TO TROUBLESHOOT SAFETY, PRODUCT QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY ISSUES
• ATTEND AND/OR PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR ATTENDANCE OF DDS AND OTHER SUPPORTING MEETINGS
• OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY MANAGER

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
