Line OSIH Coordinator** We are looking for a Line OSIH Coordinator to join our CP team in Freeport, TX. **Come create chemistry with us!** As a Line OSIH Coordinator in Freeport, TX working at the Acrylic Acid unit in CP you will be responsible for leading the daily execution team efforts to ensure a high degree of safety in the production unit. **As a Line OSIH Coordinator, you create chemistry by...** • Participating in incident investigations and ensuring completion of AIM reports (excluding major incidents requiring non-unit facilitation resources). • Following-up, tracking, and ensuring timely close-out of safety and health related action items (incidents, audits, suggestions, etc.). • Developing, maintaining documentation, and ensuring execution of the following safety and health programs: Safety meetings; Safety drills; Unit specific safety training and orientation; Unit specific safety rules; HAZWOPER. • Ensuring PPE grid is maintained current for the unit. • Ensuring current SDS’s are available for all chemicals in the unit. • Conducting on-going reviews of closed safe work permits and energy isolation forms and implementing measures to ensure continuous improvement. • Supporting coordination of common training across the site for shift personnel (HAZWOPER, etc.); scheduling unit personnel to attend specific training. • Collaborating with EHS Specialist as required for site safety standards (radiation, asbestos, industrial hygiene assessments, ergonomic assessments, etc.). • Participating as necessary in external and internal audits involving their unit (Corporate or OSHA). • Providing unit-specific coordination, preparation, and maintenance of safety compliance between internal audits. • Ensuring periodic safety equipment maintenance and checks are performed and documented. • Participating and providing unit expertise for PHA and capital project reviews. • Supporting unit and site emergency response functions per the site’s and unit’s emergency response plans. • Developing, maintaining, and executing an in-the-field job audit program for their unit (hazard recognition and control). • Providing OSIH input for the unit’s periodic Responsible Care Management System report. • Participating in the development and execution of safety and health compliance plans for outages and turnarounds. • Supporting PSSR and MOC processes. • Acting as the unit’s point person for safety suggestion management. • Serving as the leader of the unit’s safety team. • Championing the unit’s journey to EHS excellence including employee recognition. • Role modeling the desired safety and health behaviors needed to drive continuous improvement in safety and health performance. • Participating in unit exposure reduction efforts / programs (e.g., ZIP). **If you have...** • High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, including Process Technician experience or front-line safety experience manufacturing environment • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Ability to train a diverse team **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
