Our client in the food and dairy manufacturing industry is seeking a Line Packer for the 2nd shift to join their team. As a Line Packer, you will be part of the Production department supporting the Machine Operator, Area Leader, Production Supervisor, and/or Plant Manager. The ideal candidate will have good hand and manual dexterity, be a quick learner, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary opportunity. **Job Title:** Line Packer **Location:** Shirley, NY **Pay Range:** $16.50 - $17.00 per hour **Schedule** : Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm (2nd shift) **What's the Job?** + Perform various general plant tasks such as packaging, feeding product to the line and/or packaging, making boxes, applying tamper seals, closing lids, etc. to ensure good quality product is produced at all times. + Perform any task associated with the assembly or packaging of the product. + Act as a back-up Machine Operator for coverage purposes from time to time. + Practice and adhere to Food Safety, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Health and Safety policy at all times. **What's Needed?** + **2+ years of manufacturing experience.** + Ability to speak, read, write and basic comprehension of English. + Coordination and multi-task skills. + Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 20 lb. manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other unskilled general labor. **What's in it for me?** + Temporary opportunity. + Full-time hours. + Weekly pay with direct deposit.
