Key Responsibilities:
The Line Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the compliance of all planned maintenance requirements supervised by the maintenance programs. This person will also account for recovery, support, and coordination of deferred and routine maintenance including station capabilities, facility, materials, and tooling availability to accomplish planned events while providing oversight and direction to aircraft routing and operations for planned maintenance opportunities.
Lead and ensures the timely compliance of all planned maintenance requirements supervised by the maintenance programsRecovery, support and coordination of deferred and routine maintenance including station capabilities, facility, materials and tooling availability to accomplish planned eventsProvide recommendations and direction to aircraft routing and operations for planned maintenance opportunitiesKey partners in the coordination and planning for out of service aircraft and line hold work package plansProvides workload prioritization mentorship to maintenanceAccess and maintain manuals and IPCsReview databases of both line and base maintenance capabilities and accurate plan and schedule work assignmentsAssure the company’s goals for safety, security, and quality are met by continual compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting through the appropriate process any non-compliance observationsSupport and uphold United’s metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilitiesSupervise any inconsistencies and adjust to improve overall fleet efficienciesThis role is based out of United Airlines NOC located in Arlington Heights, IL.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent3 years in the aircraft maintenance industryMust be flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidaysUp to 10% travel requiredStrong background and knowledge of aircraft and engine maintenance systemsKnowledge of how to read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, and Engineering documentsExcellent communication, analytical and computer proficiencyMust be able to multitask and be detail orientedFlexible and capable of adapting to constant changeAbility to efficiently work well in a team environmentExcellent problem solving skillsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

This is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profit sharing).
