Position Responsibilities:

Provides clean linen to assigned areas in a timely manner.Adheres to the clean linen distribution schedule.Collects soiled linen following daily schedule.Maintains a log for all service requests, linen distribution activity and telephone related calls.Maintains clean working environment area all times.Properly follows all infection control guidelines.Follows hand washing procedure before and after transporting soil and after removal of gloves prior to handling clean linen.Maintains a nice and cordial relationship with all team members and customers. Relies on instruction & pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Follows the National Patient Safety goals as required: Improve accuracy of patient identification with at least two identifiers (excluding patient's room number).Reduce the risk of health care-associated infections. Reduce the risk of patient harm resulting from falls.Follows Patient Safety goals as established by the department; supports effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provides an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrates patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.Is available to participate as a member of either Team A or Team B of the Hurricane Activation Plan, as assigned.Reports incidents to supervisor and Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.Complies with current Hospital security and safety polices.All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.                                                                                                Must have previous Linen experience.
