Position Description
MAJOR FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for processing and maintaining an even flow of linens/supplies to all that we serve for Inspira Health. This position may also be responsible for occasionally operating an Inspira Health vehicle.
QUALIFICATOINS:
Education & Experience:
•A high school graduate / GED or the equivalent is required.
•Prior experience is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
•To operate an Inspira vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license in good standing and subject to checks in accordance with Inspira Health's Fleet policy.
•Completion of the Inspira Fleet Safety Program is required.
Knowledge & Skills:
•Ability to read and speak English to sufficiently perform all duties.
•Ability to respond to customer's requests in a polite and professional manner.
•Must have the ability to work/cover in other locations when necessary.

Position Responsibilities
Routinely restocking of clean linens & collecting soiled linens in all patient care areas, along with responding to all special / routine linen requests in a timely fashion on every shift. This may include any of the satellite locations and MOB Offices that we are providing patient care that requires linens.
Restocking, emptying and monitoring all scrubs locations/machines per each shift daily. Along with maintaining additional scrubs as backup ready to be delivered if needed.
All soiled linens must be collected in all patient care areas that we service on each shift and be ready for pickup in its designated pickup area, before the vendors scheduled pickup / delivery time.
Follow up and log all requests and phone requests for services including daily routines performed. Prioritize the calls as needed into your daily routine.
Ensure all patient care locations that are stocked with linens and kept neat & organized at all times.
Ensure all clean linens are covered while being transported and nothing is on the floors.
All keys /phones are on desk /in charger along with shift reports and all linen areas are secured with no clean linen in hallways.
Each shift is to assist in unloading the bulk clean linen carts onto the main linen shelving.
Discuss urgent requests with linen supervisor/manager to determine priority.
Linens, scrubs, blankets, etc might have to be folded or re-folded during your shift and maintained in the linen room and the patient care areas.
Vehicle Operation:
•Obtain keys, gas card and instructions from the supervisor.
•Perform a pre-inspection of the vehicle in compliance with the pre-inspection check list and log all items/location on the driver log.
•Monitor and check hydraulic lift gate and DEF before moving truck.
•Ensure all equipment and items being transported are strapped/secured before moving the truck
•Follow the inclement weather protocol procedures (cold, snow, flooding etc.) from pre warm-ups to removing snow off truck body before operating truck.
•Ensure all documentation to operate vehicle, including driver's license, is on hand when operating vehicle.
•Provide supervisor/manager with all receipts, including fuel receipts.
