Job Description 1. System Deployment and Configuration: o Design, deploy, and configure IT infrastructure and systems to support managed service offerings, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms. o Automate system provisioning, configuration management, and deployment tasks using scripting languages, configuration management tools, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices. 2. System Monitoring and Maintenance: o Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively monitor system performance, availability, and security. o Conduct routine system maintenance tasks, including patch management, software updates, and security hardening, to ensure system reliability and compliance. 3. Incident and Problem Management: o Respond to system-related incidents and service disruptions, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to restore service availability. o Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) and post-incident reviews (PIRs) to identify underlying causes and prevent recurrence of system issues. 4. Backup and Disaster Recovery: o Design, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data and ensure business continuity for managed service platforms and applications. o Test backup and recovery procedures regularly to validate their effectiveness and reliability in restoring systems and data. 5. Security and Compliance: o Implement security controls, policies, and best practices to protect managed service systems from security threats and vulnerabilities. o Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and remediation activities to maintain system integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. 6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. o Share knowledge and best practices with team members, clients, and stakeholders to enhance understanding and collaboration in system management. 7. Continuous Improvement: o Identify opportunities for process automation, optimization, and innovation in system engineering practices and workflows. o Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in system administration and infrastructure management through continuous learning and professional development. Skills and Requirements Top Secret Clearance with CI Poly required  Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing IT infrastructure and systems, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.  Strong understanding of modern operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2022, CentOS 9, Debian 12), system administration tasks, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) for automation and configuration management.  Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles, including NAT, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.  Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address system issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
