Job Title: Linux Applications Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux Applications Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and maintaining code in C that interfaces with hardware drivers and other software APIs. You will need to understand program requirements and create well-documented code based on high-level design specifications. This role involves reproducing, isolating, and fixing bugs, as well as integrating, developing, debugging, and measuring Linux hardware drivers.

ResponsibilitiesWrite code in C that works with hardware drivers and other software APIs.Understand program requirements and create elegant, well-documented code based on high-level design specifications.Reproduce and isolate bugs and implement fixes.Integrate, develop, debug, and measure Linux hardware drivers.Design solutions by integrating new or existing software.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field.At least three years of experience writing software for Linux systems in a business environment.Proficiency in C programming language.Experience with Linux operating systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Qt or Crank is a big plus.Experience with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design.Familiarity with hardware and software integration.Work Environment

This is an on-site role located in Carrollton. The work environment is collaborative and fast-paced, offering opportunities for growth and development. The position is a Contract-to-Hire (CTH) opportunity with a leading food service company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00
