Job Title: Entry-level Linux Developer

Job Description

We are ready to hire an Entry-level Linux Developer for the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System delivered to the United States Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Submarine fleet. Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country. Our team works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and test operating systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, and other requirements in the total engineering effort.Armor systems for Navy certification and accreditation.Work with external vendors and customers.Install tactical bays.Configure lab environments and specifications.Essential SkillsSolid bash and Python scripting experience.with a working knowledge of systems.Familiarity with OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration/PaaS technologies.Implementation and troubleshooting experience with various virtualization technologies and tools such as KVM.Solid technical communication skills and organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.Agile experience preferred.Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.Previous experience with the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System.Implementation and troubleshooting experience with various virtualization technologies and tools such as KVM, or with container technologies and tools such as Docker.Work Environment

This position is 100% on-site and in a lab environment. Flexibility is required to work in both Fairfax and other designated locations. The role requires a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable period of time. U.S. citizenship is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
