Description Robert Half is seeking a Linux System Administrator in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team. This role will primarily focus on Linux system administration, with particular emphasis on virtualization, storage, and security. Key Responsibilities: + Provide day-to-day Linux administration support. + Evaluate, design, implement, and optimize system configurations and software setups to enhance existing systems. + Select appropriate virtualization solutions and technologies based on research requirements and security considerations. + Collaborate with vendors and procurement teams to acquire necessary hardware and software. + Architect virtualization and storage solutions to meet computing requirements, particularly for database-related virtual machines, ensuring redundancy. + Plan and design network and security solutions to support physical and virtual servers and storage across single and multiple locations. + Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and migrate Linux-based virtual machines to meet project-specific requirements for research databases. + Assess the current environment to identify research computing needs. + Facilitate scalable on-premises research computing solutions. + Perform other related duties as needed.
