Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Linux System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux system administration, automation, networking, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.) in on-premise and cloud environments.Manage and optimize system performance, security, and monitoring using tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.Automate system administration tasks using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, or PowerShell.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Troubleshoot system, network, and application-level issues, providing root cause analysis and long-term fixes.Work with security teams to implement hardening strategies, patch management, and compliance measures.Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and IT teams to optimize deployment workflows and infrastructure management.Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of experience as a Linux System Engineer, Administrator, or similar role.Strong expertise in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.Proficiency in scripting/programming (Bash, Python, Perl).Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Nagios, ELK Stack, Prometheus).Ability to work in an agile and collaborative environment.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or LPIC-1/2.Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps pipelines.Knowledge of database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Experience with identity and access management (LDAP, Active Directory).
