We are actively hiring a Linux Systems Administrator with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph working in McLean, VA. You will be a member of the Sustainment and Maintenance IT team. The Program supports a moderately sized customer network comprised of Linux (80%), windows (20%), virtualization, storage, network, and on-premise data center hardware. The Sustainment and Maintenance team offers rewarding opportunities to think outside the box to deliver innovative and sustainable IT environments to our customers. The system administrators work both independently and as a member of an integrated product team supporting a wide variety of basic and complex computing and network configurations and must have functional Linux and Windows experience.
RESPONSIBILITIESPerforming frequent data transfers from external media onto the network Update virus definitions weekly on data transfer systems Update standalone systems operating system and software. Responding to day-to-day trouble tickets, including diagnosing, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and account issues Installing, configuring, updating and removing system hardware (servers, workstations, graphics cards, transceivers, network interface cards) Installing, configuring, and updating system and application software Building, configuring, and deploying Linux and Windows systems, including multi-monitor installations. Creating and managing user/group accounts in Active Directory Implementing up-to-date system policies and procedures Utilize Git and Puppet to perform automatic build configuration of Linux systems. Utilize SCCM to perform automatic software installation on Windows systems.REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMust possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraphExperience building, configuring, and deploying Linux and Windows systems, including multi-monitor installations
