As we expand, we're looking for a Linux Systems Administrator, who broad responsibilities and leverages advanced technical expertise, along with the latest tools and technologies, to establish and maintain secure, high-performing environments throughout the organization.  **Location:** This position is hybrid in our Syracuse offices. **Responsibilities:** + Administrative responsibility for the configuration, maintenance, and operation of computer systems, and servers. + Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise Linux operating systems (desktop and server), ensuring optimal performance, support, and alignment with organizational goals.  + Implement, configure, and maintain Linux laptops, desktops, and servers in accordance with industry best practices to guarantee reliable, secure business operations.  + Develop and execute comprehensive patch management processes, threat protection measures, and security configurations for Linux environments across the organization.  + Administer and oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions to effectively manage company assets.  + Design, implement, and maintain a robust, secure, and efficient network infrastructure spanning both on-premises and cloud environments.  + Report directly to the IT Security Manager and play a major role in the growth of the company.  + Assist the IT Security Manager with developing IT and security policies and procedures to enable all aspects of the business.   + Help guide sensible IT decisions by working with management and teammates to create an environment of trust and productivity.  **What We’re Looking For:** + Desire to be a part of a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results.   + Ability to collaborate and work with all members of the company to find solutions that meet the needs of everyone.   + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges through teamwork and collaboration.   + Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with the ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs.   + Deep knowledge of IT best practices, industry standards, policies, and regulations    + A keen attention to detail and great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization    **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related major + 4+ years related professional experience including hands-on Linux administration and server administration experience.  + Experience in SALT or comparable automation platforms (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) for provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration to ensure secure, scalable, and consistent deployments across on-premises and cloud environments. + Proficiency in Python or comparable programming languages for scripting, automation, and application development.   + Experience with networking, both supporting physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.  **Preferred Qualifications:** + Certifications related to computers, networking or security. + An understanding of Microsoft Server and Desktop operating system environments. + Experience with NIST and CMMC Compliance. + Experience with or willing to learn:   + Certification programs such as FedRAMP, SOC-2, and similar  + US export regulations   + Cloud-based servers and solutions and their security strengths and weaknesses  **Compensation and Benefits:** Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance, and potential stock options. **Salary Range** : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $85,000 to $95,000 annually.
