We are seeking security minded Linux & Windows Systems Administrator to perform system design, build, integration, test, and maintain cyber systems. Duties include installing application software and system patches, ensuring anti-virus and vulnerability scanner updates, and optimizing performance and reliability. Systems will be built and maintained to the NIST SP 800-53 standard. Successful candidates are teamed with the Information Assurance organization to support multiple programs performing a wide range of engineering disciplines.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, build, integrate, harden, deploy, and maintain bare metal and virtual clients, servers, and networked systems. Develop solutions to perform complex tasks that impact multiple IT disciplines.Effectively use hardening, scanning, and log collection tools such as Ansible, Nessus, and SCAP, and Splunk.Perform system analysis for purposes of performance optimization, catastrophe mitigation, and security compliance.Collaborate with software developers to ensure systems meet functional requirements.Support IT security activities to include security compliance reviews and auditing requirements.Perform software configuration management using software development repositories.Basic Qualifications
Experience administering Windows, Linux, Networking/Switch, and Virtualized Machines Possess or ability to obtain a security+ 8570 certification with 6 months employment.Bachelor of Science in Technical field and at least 8 years of relevant work experience, or a master’s with 6-10 years of experience.; additional years’ of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Active DoD SECRET clearance. (U.S. citizenship is required)Experience implementing NIST SP 800-53 controls families on both Linux and WindowsExperience with core infrastructure services administration such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and File Server administration. Experienced in deploying Operating System images in a variety of mediums (PXE-network, disk image, automated installation media with answer scripts).Ability to create simple Linux and PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks. Ability to collaborate within a team and independently with minimal supervision.Perform research necessary to resolve complex technical problems.Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in building and deploying DevSecOps systems.
