**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
To provide intermediate analysis and documentation of existing hospital and administrative procedures and recommend alternative procedures for improvement of workflow, either manual or automated, maximizing productivity and controlling costs.
**_This position supports Clinical Laboratory Services_**
**Job Duties**
+ Laboratory Information Systems Analyst will have sufficient knowledge of existing computer systems to effectively troubleshoot system problems and\or develop high level LIS computer systems.
+ The job requires significant self- motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to effectively work as part of a highly functioning team. The LIS Systems Analyst will report directly to the LIS Manager.
+ Plans the study of current departmental systems.
+ Gathers and organizes information on system including present operating procedures.
+ Analyzes data and considers all available solutions, either manual or automated.
+ Work with Big data Analytics
+ Experience updating and maintaining websites
+ Adheres to internal controls established for department.
+ Performs related duties as required.
**Minimum Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field 3 years related experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience working in a Blood Bank environment.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with Blood Bank Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
+ Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
+ Experience updating and maintaining websites
+ Experience running reports
