Description We are inviting applications for the position of Litigation Attorney, based in Excelsior, Minnesota, United States. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing an ongoing caseload, encompassing diverse areas related to litigation. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle a diverse range of litigation cases, ensuring efficient management of the ongoing caseload.
• Adhere to the legal regulations and guidelines of Minnesota.
• Demonstrate versatility in handling numerous aspects related to litigation.
• Showcase self-initiative in managing work and responsibilities.
• Leverage your background in insurance defense and civil litigation to effectively handle cases.
• Familiarize yourself with court proceedings to ensure smooth handling of cases.
• Draw upon your experience of over 3 years in the field of litigation.
• Handle customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution.
• Monitor customer accounts and undertake appropriate action as necessary.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications with precision. Requirements
• Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Must be a member in good standing of the local state bar
• Licensed in Minnesota state and federal court
• Demonstrable experience in civil litigation is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficient in using legal research tools and software
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good understanding of litigation complexities and legal procedures
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and build client relationships
• Must demonstrate high ethical standards and professionalism in all dealings
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently
• Possess a strong attention to detail and ability to create and present comprehensive legal strategies
• Must have the ability to travel for trials, depositions, and client development activities
• Ability to stay current with the latest developments in the field of civil litigation.
