A nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, maritime and commercial litigation. The firm has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal in their Miami office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneouslyDraft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadingsReview and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case materialCompose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partnersMonitor case filings and scheduled deposition for our client(s)Prepare for trials for our national client(s)Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.

Candidate Requirements:

5 years of litigation experience preferredAsbestos litigation experience preferredBachelor's degree and/or Paralegal CertificateAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work in an organized and efficient mannerCapable of independent workExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to professionally communicate with a wide variety of individualsAct with a sense of urgency when neededPossesses a strong understanding and abides by the policies and procedures of the firmProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and legal systems such as Westlaw, File & Serve Xpress, PACER
