Description
We are in the process of recruiting a Litigation Paralegal for our client's litigation group in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks including managing attorney calendars, maintaining client files, and assisting in different stages of litigation. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and review attorney calendars, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
• Keep track of due dates and deadlines for client matters on attorney calendars, including answer due dates, motion due dates, Rule 26 dates, and scheduling orders.
• Handle the storage and maintenance of both digital and paper client file matters.
• Regularly review attorney emails and file client file matter communications into document management system.
• Be in charge of opening new client matters and potential matters.
• Fulfill requests to close client files.
• Update client and party information through Case Management Software as needed.
• Handle e-filing and e-serving of pleadings, correspondence, and documents.
• Assist with the initiation of litigation matters, including working with process servers and newspaper publications.
• Aid in drafting pleadings and the discovery phase of cases.
• Assist with document productions, including review, redaction, and Bates labeling.
• Help with trial preparation and attend trial matters when requested.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.
• Proficiency in Case Management Software is a must.
• Experience with NetDocuments software is required.
• Familiarity with Calendar - Docket is essential.
• Ability to draft pleadings efficiently and accurately.
• Experience with e-Filing in various legal jurisdictions.
• Proven experience in trial preparation and support.
• Expertise in document production, including reviewing, organizing, and maintaining document databases.
