Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a dynamic and reputable law firm in Washington, DC that is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in litigation, a strong understanding of the litigation process, and a proven track record of preparing for and attending trials. This is a great opportunity to work on complex cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from initial filing through post-trial motions and appeals.Prepare, organize, and manage case files, pleadings, discovery documents, and evidence.Draft and proofread legal documents, including motions, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and trial preparation materials.Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to schedule depositions, hearings, and trial dates.Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and assembling trial notebooks.Attend trials, hearings, and depositions as necessary, providing support to attorneys and ensuring smooth proceedings.Maintain detailed case management records and track important deadlines.Conduct legal research and assist with document review and analysis.Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines, filing documents timely and accurately.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.Strong experience in trial preparation and trial attendance.Solid knowledge of the litigation process, including discovery, pre-trial motions, depositions, and trial procedures.Proficient in legal research and using legal software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, CaseMap, TrialDirector).Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
