Pay Rate:

$75,000 - $89,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

This position requires strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to exercise independent judgment, and a professional demeanor.  The successful candidate must be capable of performing job responsibilities within specified deadlines, handling multiple priorities, and working with minimal supervision.

 

Maintain, monitor and update Litigation Docket calendar and apprise attorneys of upcoming deadlines Organize client files in electronic database Draft legal pleadings and written discovery requests/responses Identify and prepare responsive documents for production in discovery, including privilege logs Conduct factual investigations, legal research and case assessments Coordinate and confer with internal stakeholders to schedule witness interviews and investigations Gather relevant information and documents from a variety of sources Review and  summarize deposition transcripts, document production, and medical records Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses and court personnel Handle garnishments and child support wage withholding orders Respond to subpoenas and employment records requests Accept service of process and docket applicable response deadlines

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

Two years of relevant experience and a paralegal associates degree or relevant certification is required. Extensive experience handling all aspects of discovery is required. Trial experience, e-discovery experience, and experience with liens, Medicare set-asides, etc. is a plus. Personal injury, property damage and commercial law, among other areas of law. Familiarity with garnishments, subpoenas and authorizations. Demonstrated ability to organize and juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
