Key Responsibilities: + Provide top-notch support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters from inception through trial. + Strengthen case teams by working collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals, mentoring and training staff to elevate overall performance. + Act as a self-starter, owning projects and responsibilities with the ability to lead and manage multiple team members on a case. + Directly engage with clients, fostering relationships to meet high standards of service and quality. + Perform all aspects of litigation preparation and trial support, including: + Finalizing briefs, with tasks such as cite checking, proofreading, and building TOC/TOA. + Creating deliverables with excellent formatting and attention to detail. + Preparing trial binders, pleadings, and evidence exhibits. + Adapt efficiently to varied workflows depending upon unique case needs. + Work closely with attorneys during high-demand periods, which may require late hours, weekend availability, or travel for extended trial preparations (6–8 weeks). Requirements Requirements: + Experience: 5–10 years of litigation paralegal work. Candidates with fewer years of experience may still be considered but must demonstrate potential for rapid growth. + Preference for candidates with law firm experience other than personal injury or plaintiff firms. + Mindset: Highly motivated, team-oriented, and genuinely committed to collaborative success. Not seeking individuals looking for a role to "coast" through the day. + Leadership Abilities: Capable of taking ownership of responsibilities, demonstrating leadership over assigned projects, and managing staff effectively. + Tech Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including styles, formatting, and advanced features for creating legal documents. Confidence in adopting and training on legal technology platforms is a plus. + Technical Expertise in Litigation Support: + Cite checking, bluebooking, and ensuring accuracy of legal references. + Building indexes, TOC/TOA, and proofreading documents to the highest standards. + Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms is a plus.
