Job Summary: This is a great opportunity for an experienced and skilled housekeeper who can oversee the smooth running of the household. Working for a British family of 5 who will be living between the UK and Dubai. The younger children will be with the parents, but their older son is a weekly boarder and will stay in the UK. When the family are in residence the job will be Monday to Friday, when they are away flexibility will be required to work the weekends. The family have two dogs (setters) and it is essential you are a dog lover and a driver is a must. The family also employ a Gardner
General duties:
All housekeeping for the property, the main residence is 4 bedrooms, plus a separate residence used for guests that has 3 bedrooms and your own accommodation which has 2 bedrooms Laundry and ironing Cleaning and care of fine art and Antiques Manage the household schedule. Book in maintenance and contractors when needed. Walking the dogs daily (dog sitting when the family are not in residence) Accept deliveries and organise returns if needed Manage household inventories. Experience with caring for antiques and art Organise household shopping and local errands. Driving – airport runs, when the family are not in residence driving their son to board school, cricket practice etc Some cooking on occasion especially when their son is home from school and the parents are not in the UK
Candidate requirements:
The family are looking for a very experienced housekeeper who has worked in a similar role, who is self-managed and is happy being in a property when the family are not in residence. Must love dogs which will include dog walking, pet visits and being responsible for them when principles are not in residence Someone who is very organised, able to manage the day to day running of the home who is confident dealing with situations as they arise. Happy to help with the teenage son, in terms of making sure he is fed, school runs (weekly boarder) taking to cricket practice etc. A driver is essential
Salary: Very competitive gross per annum depending on your experience
Accommodation: Separate 2-bedroom annex, (pets considered)
DBS and first aid check required at offer stage.
