Incredible role based in Watford, to work in a fully staffed home with a single principal who is only in residence 6 months of the year!

 

 A client based in Watford, is looking for a professional, upbeat and personable Housekeeper to help with the running of the home. The client is not in residence full time so there will be reasonable downtime however the home must always be well maintained, and standards followed. There are other members of the working team, which consist of an estate manager and another housekeeper, driver, and gardener, and you must be able to be adaptable and be able to lend your hand at most tasks.

The principal does not often entertain, and he is mostly busy when he is in residence. He also spends a lot of his free time in London. A car can be provided for use on duty. The household is informal and very laid back. The principal has had his staff for a very long time, the current estate manager has worked with him for 12 years!

General duties:

Overseeing the daily running of the home Traditional housekeeping duties Liaising with other staff members Making sure essentials are kept replenished and management of inventory Cooking for the principal, breakfast lunch and dinner Able to handle delicate materials and fabrics etcCandidate requirements:  Must be pet friendly – one Labrador A driver is required – car provided for work purposes Someone who is professional, presentable and has good people skills Good listener and communicator Discreet and able to read a room Flexible DBS check required at offer stage
