Job Description

Salary Range: $69,500 to $83,200 yearly salary

Direct the pickup and transportation of fryers, which include:                                                                          

Meeting with the crew at the beginning of the shift and assigning duties.Monitoring animal welfare practices and procedures.Making decisions on how many birds per crew.Checking on crews while at the ranches and assuring all is going well.Correcting any problems necessary.Coordinating shipping schedules with all affected plant forepersons.Hiring and firing employees.Establish and enforce company and department safety and production standards.          Provide necessary training for crew.                                                                             Work with other departments, as needed, for overall division planning and proper            record keeping of employees, to include documentation of all disciplinary actions.                       Supervise the training of truck and other drivers.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Have a minimum of 1-2 year of supervisory experience.Knowledge of poultry transportation preferred but not required.Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work in extreme cold/hot, dusty environment.Must have good communication skills.Must have the ability to make decisions while under pressure.Must have and maintain an acceptable DMV driving record.Ability to follow and enforce all company rules, policies and procedures.Ability to work various shifts including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to meet production standards and deadlines. Attend meetings and miscellaneous training sessions.
