This position is responsible for providing personal assistance to residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living.
Job DescriptionProvide Home Making Services as required: Make the bed, wash dishes, tidy the apartment, organize closets and dresser drawers, launder clothing and bedding, iron, grocery shopping, meal preparations.Provide additional assistance as required.Document on the daily report sheets services provided to the resident. Daily reports to be completed and returned at the end of each shift. Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.Provide personal care as required, including but not limited to giving shower/tub or sponge baths, shampooing hair,assisting with dressing, shaving, providing incontinence care, medication reminders, wheelchair transportation, transferring residents.QualificationsLevel of Formal Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Years of Experience: 0-1+ years
Type of Experience: General patient care in a care facility or in a home situation.
Language Skills: The ability to understand and speak the English language.
Personal Attributes: Patience and compassion for the elderly.
