Job Description · A large utility company in Washington is looking for an LMR/RF Engineer to join their team. The project that this person will be working on is a digital radio upgrade.  o This project will be changing out the radios at 60+ sites across WA, as well as replacing portable radios, then executing the clean up to reconfigure and clean out any leftover equipment. This is a 2-year initiative. This role is intended contract-to-hire, to backfill a senior engineer on the team who is retiring in 2026. The first 6 months of this role will consist of training, shadowing, assisting with the radio-upgrade project, and working closely with the PM. This person will gradually ramp up to be the SME RF Engineer for this team. Skills and Requirements · 10+ years experience as an RF Engineer work, specifically with two-way radio/dispatch systems  · Experience with various tools/technologies/systems, such as: · Digital mobile radio (LMR) systems · Antenna systems and grounding · IP radio dispatch console systems/IP routing and networking · Conventional MPT radio · System talk group design · Radio traffic analysis · Regulatory standards - licensing and regulatory filings · WA administrative code · Motorola R56 standards FCC General Radio License · Proficiency in Tait and Zetron two-way radio systems, including VHF, UHF, and digital radio technologies Previous microwave engineering experience null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
