Activities LNG (liquefied natural gas) sales growth is targeted to be multiplied by 2 between 2019 and 2030. This LNG production increase shall be supported by several projects that are identified and more to come.
The Company is thus looking for a LNG & Cryogenics Process Engineer who will be actively involved in the support of the LNG growth of the Company but also in the promotion and optimization of new cryogenic processes (e.g., biogas, H2 and CO2 cryogenic processes)
The position is based in Courbevoie (Paris area)
As a LNG & Cryogenics Process Engineer, your main role will be:
to support the new projects development by participating in the elaboration of overall plant process schemes,to provide technical assistance for ongoing projects and assets in operation,to participate in scouting and qualification of new technologies.
In addition and considering the transversality of the activities handled by the LNG & Cryogenics process entity, you will also:
be involved in inter-branches studies (Exploration & Production, Gas Rewables & Power, Marketing & Services) for specific cryogenic process support ;you perform, you lead or you validate process studies from prospects studies level up to pre-FEED studies for the different clients ;you provide support for Projects in FEED or EPC phases ;you are involved in support to Operation assistances on the assets of the different branches ;you also collect and formalize technical feedbacks from the assets either operated by TotalEnergies or by others, develop and formalize internal know-how, interface with TotalEnergies entities for subjects related to LNG and other cryogenics applications.

Clarification of client’s technical problematics and Basis of Design / Scope of Work definitionLNG plants & cryogenic processes modeling using commercial software or in-house softwareProcesses optimization (e.g. energy efficiency, production maximization, GHG reduction) with consideration of equipment technology limitations, impacts on licensed processes and costDevelop process flowsheets (e.g. PFD's - process flow diagram) and equipment listEquipment and piping preliminary sizingValidate or contribute to the process studies document development: specifications, studies report, technical offers comparisonReview and validate process documentation issued by the ContractorsParticipate or lead technical reviews (Project Reviews, PFD/P&ID reviews, HAZID / ENVID / HAZOP 3D model reviews, Technology Qualifications...)Lead complex studies performed within the Company or outsourced
Candidate Profile Chemical engineering or petroleum engineering degreeBroad understanding of Oil&Gas, refining and petrochemical processesMinimum 10 years of experience as process engineer in Engineering company and/or Oil & gas Company, most of which on cryogenic unitsMastering modeling tools such as PROII, Hysys, Unisim. Good knowledge of other specific modeling tools is a plus (e.g., HTRI, CFD tools)Familiar with process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, compressors and pumpsA conceptual understanding of chemical engineering principles of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics, and their general application to process designFamiliar with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processesRelevant experience of originating and checking the deliverables/tasksExcellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply themAbility to manage complex studies performed inhouse or by engineering contractorsFluent in English Additional Information TotalEnergies values diversity, promotes individual growth and offers equal opportunity careers.
