LNG Field Service Eng (Start-up/Commissioning) – Remote (70%+ travel)

As a  LNG Field Service Engineer (Start-up/Commissioning) here at Honeywell, your responsibilities will be split between field and office activities. This role will support this growth market both domestically in North America and overseas.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

\n\nField Work \n\nCommissioning and start-up of LNG facilities with the emphasis on operation\nManagement of small repair teams (5-10 person) with time sheet reporting\nLiaison between LNG Site Owners (NLNG, Qatar Energy, Total, etc)\nConfined space entry supervision\nField support of operating LNG facilities with performance optimization, plant troubleshooting, and turnaround support including restart\nParticipate in Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR)\nAdvisory services for the transportation and installation of Honeywell LNG supplied equipment\n\n\nOffice Work \n\nOperating procedure and manual development\nOperator training module development and presentation\nImplementation of new control schemes for LNG Liquefaction\nSafety monitoring of field activities\nNew LNG facilities reviews and interactions: P&ID development, 3-D model reviews, HAZOP and LOPA participation\nNew LNG liquefaction process cycle development\n\n\nPhysical Challenges\n\nThe physical demands of working in LNG facilities may include\n\nWorking from heights, which often involves climbing ladders and accessing elevated structures\nOperating in confined or restricted spaces, which may present additional physical challenges\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnvironmental Conditions\n\nMany LNG facilities are situated in hot and humid climates, often in remote locations, exacerbating the physical challenges employees may face\n\n\n\nSpecific Site Criteria: Access to LNG Customer facilities may include additional requirementsTravel: greater than 70% - Travel will be to engineering offices in some of the great cities of the world including London, Paris, Houston, Rome, Milan, Buenos Ares, and Yokohama while LNG production site travel could be to Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Qatar, UAE, Mexico, Canada, USA, and Algeria.\n

MUST HAVE

\n\n7+ years of Process or Design Engineering experience\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\nUnderstanding of site work permits and procedures \n\n

WE VALUE 

\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering \nField Operation experience, ie, production environment\nOperational safety focus including confined space entries\nCommissioning and start-up experience highly valued\nThe ability to understand a wide array of plant disciplines including machinery, instrumentation, piping, mechanical, process controls, instrumentation and process engineering\nComfort acting as the focal point of contact between plant management and LNG Engineering\nStrong cross-functional team leadership and organization skills\nComfortable working in the field\nPossess leadership skills to lead technical discussions with clients \nTechnically skilled to converse and influence engineers\nProficient in English: speaking and writing\nProficient in the use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nDesired to have experience and proficiency in the use of Bluebeam\n\n

THE BUSINESS UNIT

The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MDE) organization designs and manufactures specialized Coil Wound Heat Exchangers and other natural gas liquefaction equipment. The equipment is designed by our engineering teams and fabricated at our manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL, or other domestic and international 3rd party facilities. Our customers use this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas, massively improving its transportability as an energy source to end users around the world.
