LNG Field Service Engineer (Start-up/Commissioning) – Remote (70%+ travel)

As a LNG Field Service Engineer (Start-up/Commissioning) here at Honeywell, your responsibilities will be split between field and office activities. This role will support this growth market both domestically in North America and overseas.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
+ Field Work
+ Commissioning and start-up of LNG facilities with the emphasis on operation
+ Management of small repair teams (5-10 person) with time sheet reporting
+ Liaison between LNG Site Owners (NLNG, Qatar Energy, Total, etc)
+ Confined space entry supervision
+ Field support of operating LNG facilities with performance optimization, plant troubleshooting, and turnaround support including restart
+ Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR)
+ Advisory services for the transportation and installation of Honeywell LNG supplied equipment
+ Office Work
+ Operating procedure and manual development
+ Operator training module development and presentation
+ Implementation of new control schemes for LNG Liquefaction
+ Safety monitoring of field activities
+ New LNG facilities reviews and interactions: P&ID development, 3-D model reviews, HAZOP and LOPA participation
+ New LNG liquefaction process cycle development
+ Physical Challenges
+ The physical demands of working in LNG facilities may include
+ Working from heights, which often involves climbing ladders and accessing elevated structures
+ Operating in confined or restricted spaces, which may present additional physical challenges
+ Environmental Conditions
+ Many LNG facilities are situated in hot and humid climates, often in remote locations, exacerbating the physical challenges employees may face
+ Specific Site Criteria: Access to LNG Customer facilities may include additional requirements
+ Travel: greater than 70% - Travel will be to engineering offices in some of the great cities of the world including London, Paris, Houston, Rome, Milan, Buenos Ares, and Yokohama while LNG production site travel could be to Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Qatar, UAE, Mexico, Canada, USA, and Algeria.
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $131,000 - $164,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $151,000 - $189,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. MUST HAVE
+ 7+ years' experience in process/design engineering or field operations/maintenance
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
WE VALUE
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
+ Field operation experience with Cryogenic or hydrocarbon processes, ie production environment
+ Operational safety focus including confined space entries
+ Commissioning and start-up experience highly valued
+ The ability to understand a wide array of plant disciplines including machinery, instrumentation, piping, mechanical, process controls, instrumentation and process engineering
+ Comfort acting as the focal point of contact between plant management and LNG Engineering
+ Understanding of site work permits and procedures
+ Strong cross-functional team leadership and organization skills
+ Comfortable working in the field
+ Possess leadership skills to lead technical discussions with clients
+ Technically skilled to converse and influence engineers
+ Proficient in English: speaking and writing
+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Desired to have experience and proficiency in the use of Bluebeam

THE BUSINESS UNIT
The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MDE) organization designs and manufactures specialized Coil Wound Heat Exchangers and other natural gas liquefaction equipment. The equipment is designed by our engineering teams and fabricated at our manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL, or other domestic and international 3rd party facilities. Our customers use this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas, massively improving its transportability as an energy source to end users around the world.
