LOA Case Manager
Job Description

Summary

The Leave of Absence (LOA) Case Manager is responsible for administration of the Company’s LOA Management Process for assigned regions and/or business units.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Facilitates the LOA Management Process; including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA), and other leave types required by federal/state law and company policy.Communicates with Team Members requesting LOAs regarding the eligibility requirements and documentation needed for LOA approvals.      Communicates with HR Managers and business partners in the field regarding Team Members’ LOA status and return to work accommodations.Prepares and maintains extensive detailed reports on Team Member LOA data.Ensures compliance with all state and federal labor and employment laws and regulations as pertains to LOAs and workplace accommodations.Partners with our Legal team as needed to provide accurate information and discuss any emergent issues

Education and Experience

Three to five years of experience at a management or senior administrative level with emphasis on leave of absence administration and/or employee relations.Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements, especially ADA, FMLA, and USERRA, with an emphasis on CFRA and other state-specific leavesPreferred – Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent level of experience, training, and education.Preferred- Bilingual- Spanish

Work Environment

This job operates is fully remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and electronic fax systems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. but exceptions can be made due to the location of the successful candidate and other considerations including the needs of the supported locations. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
