Position Summary
The Loader Operator position reports to the Plant Manager and will be in a role of (secondary supervision) production teamwork. Primary functions are to safely Load customer trucks with material (sand and gravel) and safely operate and feed sand plant. Responsible for maintaining the yard and stockpile areas, complete safety and preventive maintenance inspections including the loader. Our customers and their truck drivers, are all vital to the Operations performance and the Loader Operator will need to be professional and courteous serving the “Customers”.
Requirements
Required to follow all safety policies and procedures, wear PPE and promote a 24/7 Safe CultureOperates 7yd loader to load customer trucksOperate and feed screening plantPerforms daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and inspect all moving parts for proper functionRecords daily maintenance activitiesDaily pre and post inspections are required on the plant and loaderComplete daily production logsHelp maintain all of the plant yard area for environmental complianceMaintain the area around the yard.Assist in the inventory processReport any problems to maintenance personnel and managerDemonstrates good knowledge of lockout/tagout procedure required during certain proceduresAssists with other duties as needed in the yard as directedCleans area around aggregate charging hoppers, load point and assist in cleaning plant and yardDemonstrates a good working knowledge of Company Rules and Regulations, and assures facility compliance with MSHA, OSHA and other regulatory agenciesAssist with training of co-workers as neededMust be physically capable. Will be required to stoop, bend, and lift heavy objects such as shovels full of materials etc. on a respective basisMust be able to use hand tools and grease gun to perform all phases of loader maintenanceFlexible attitude engaged in team goalsSix months of experience in operation and maintenance of a front end loader
