Principal Accountabilities

Operate all equipment associated with railcar loading and unloading,  truck loading and unloadingMonitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirementsEnter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervisionUnderstand and adhere to Provincial and Federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety.  Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations.Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing the Maintenance Computer Program. Gather samples from loaded tank cars or trucks with each load/unloadGather samples from  pellets and/or crude oil cars loaded.Troubleshoot minor problems as requiredMaintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental and food safety impacts of the operationCompletes master sanitation schedule checklists and tasksAttend various mandatory safety and department meetingsCommunicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.Assist other crush and plant personnel as needed, and will perform any other duty as requested.Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assigned


Basic Requirements

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaMust be 18 years or olderMust have a high school diploma/ equivalent or higherMust be willing and able to work 12 hr shifts, including nights, overtime, weekends, holidays, and additional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift to cover vacanciesMust be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, etc., to work in elevated areas of the plant (4 feet and above)Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lift up to 50lbs regularly, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishWorking knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word


Preferred Qualifications

Mobile equipment experienceExperience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Prior experience in industrial related work
