The anticipated salary range for this role is between $63,000.00 and $75,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role DescriptionThe primary responsibility is providing operational support for a syndicated or bilateral loan portfolio in JDAD Corporate Loan Operations. If needed, provides administrative support to Relationship Managers, maintains customer information, conducts KYC processes, coordinates loan and deposit processes for JDAD customers and collaborates with other SMBC departments to complete customer account related tasks.
Role Objectives Responsible for all funding transactions and coordinating the funding of loans and deposits with SMBC’s Treasury Department. Assists customers to arrange daily funding, Cayman deposit and other transactions. Provide administrative support for JDAD Relationship Managers. Perform scheduled activities using WIP, Ticklers, and Ad Hoc Reports to process daily work in a timely, accurate and proactive manner. Perform accurate record keeping of all transactions according to SMBC policy. Provide information necessary to prepare credit applications and memos. Review loan agreements forwarded from the Marketing Group to ensure compliance with the applicable credit applications. Process new drawdowns, pay-downs, LC activities and fees for syndicated and bilateral deals and other loan related paper work. Qualifications and SkillsCRITICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE AND CORE COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of SMBC KYC and compliance procedures. Strong customer service skills. Problem solving ability to provide effective solutions to internal and external clients. Utilize cross cultural skills to liaise Japanese customers and Non-Japanese Bank staff to ensure seamless customer service. Strong sense of teamwork and responsibility. Intermediate knowledge of corporate banking front, middle and back office functions. Understanding of all aspects of deal/loan administration functions and associated tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Well organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Excellent attention to detail.
REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience: 0 – 2 years of specialized experience in Financial Services Experience as a Deposit Relationship Manager with Budget Management Responsibilities preferred.
