Loan Processor
Description We are providing an opportunity for a skilled Loan Processor to join our team in WAKEFIELD, Massachusetts. This role is in the financial services industry with a focus on residential mortgages. This contract to permanent employment opportunity involves handling customer queries, processing loan applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. Responsibilities: • Accurately process residential mortgage loan applications from initiation through to funding • Ensure the accurate setup and maintenance of customer files • Validate application data, loan costs, fees, and vendor information • Determine and request necessary applicant documentation • Issue initial and revised Loan Estimates (LE) and disclosures • Gather necessary documentation for underwriting conditions • Issue initial and amended Closing Disclosures (CD) • Prepare and issue closing packages • Communicate effectively with customers across all channels • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, secondary market guidelines, and company policies and procedures • Attend and complete assigned courses and seminars. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry. • Demonstrated knowledge of residential mortgages is essential. • Proficiency in using computer software and technology related to loan processing. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing documentation. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism. • Familiarity with financial regulations and lending guidelines is preferred. • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in finance, business, or related field is a plus.
