Loan Processor Assistant
About The Role POSITION SUMMARY: Supports and works closely with assigned Loan Officers, Credit Analysts, Loan Processors, Branch Manager and Personal Bankers while interfacing with customers to provide assistance in initial opening of Customer Information files for lending customers, coordinating account openings with Personal Bankers, answer lending customer account questions, processing of loan payments, assists loan servicing and loan processors with loan advances and other servicing responsibilities, and organization and maintenance and/or review of electronic loan files. Assures quality customer service by providing friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and outside associates. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITES AND DUTIES: Assures quality customer service and portrays a positive and professional image for the Bank by friendly and efficient handling of all customer requests and by developing and maintaining professional relationships with outside associates. Assists in the gathering of initial documentation to open Customer Information Files (CIF) and opens the CIF in Jack Henry. Works closely with Operations department and branch Personal Bankers for the opening of deposit accounts associated with lending customers. Ensures all account opening processes/procedures follow institution and regulatory guidelines Assist Loan Processors in the review and gathering of OFAC data as directed. Review and post all loan payments and proceed checks. Post loan fees to the appropriate general ledgers as directed by Loan Servicing. Interact with Wenatchee branch loan processor, branch manager, customer service reps, loan officers and customer that come into the loan center directly. Review Remote Deposit Report daily for proceed checks. Posts advances or submits advances to Loan Servicing as directed. Occasionally request boarding of loan documents as directed by Branch and Loan Center Loan Processors by following the required procedures. Occasionally assist Loan Processors in perfecting of collateral as directed. Create and maintain electronic loan files in a timely manner by sending loan documents for and credit file documentation for indexing. Processes mail received by the Loan Center. Ensures mail is delivered to post office is a timely manner. Makes deliveries to and from Wenatchee Branch and Loan Center no more than twice daily. Mail original required Loan Documents to Administration for Wenatchee Branch Loans as soon as indexed in electronic files. Organize and file paper documents for Wenatchee Loan Center loans and work with Loan Servicing for transportation of documents when required. Assist in Collateral Tracking as directed by Loan Processors. Assists with Branch Operations and Loan Center Operations, such as coordinating schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage during business hours, answering phones, greeting customers, dual control activities and other responsibilities and duties by delegation of Loan Processor Supervisor, Loan Servicing Supervisor and Loan Operations Manager. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION: This position has been established to provide accurate and timely work involving the compliance of opening accounts, processing loan payment and assisting loan processor in responsibilities in which policies and established processed are to be adhered to consistently. This position requires the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Incumbent must have the ability to work under short time frames and deadlines and during high volume peak periods, which could require the need to work overtime as necessary. Incumbent must be able to work independently and be self-directed. Incumbent must have the ability to work well with others and take direction from multiple loan processors. Incumbent will be attentive to customers’ and loan officers’ loan processing needs. Incumbent must have the ability to work effectively with multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and timelines. Incumbent must be able to travel too and from the Wenatchee Branch and Wenatchee Loan Center. Incumbent must have the ability and willingness to cross-sell all Bank products in a professional manner. Incumbent must have the ability to use sound business judgment involving customer inquires, loan advances and receipts, problems, or complaints through appropriate action and/or referral to a supervisor. POSITION CONTACT: Regular contact with supervisor, commercial loan officers, and bank personnel regarding daily flow of work. Frequent contact with Insurance Agents, Title Company personnel, State and County Auditors, and other outside associates. Frequent contact with customers to ensure accuracy and updating of loan files, make loan disbursements as assigned and provide answers to inquires and cross-sell Bank products and services. About You QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years experience in banking, finance, accounting, or lending environment preferred. High School diploma/GED. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong typing, word processing, and 10-Key skills. Accuracy with financial calculations is essential. Must be well organized, detail-oriented, accurate, efficient, and able to multi-task in a customer-oriented environment. Strong time management skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office setting. Frequent sitting, occasional standing, twisting, bending and lifting (up to 35 lbs). Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
