Location Description Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview Basic Function The Lobby/Public Space Attendant is responsible for maintaining and refreshing various public areas of the hotel. This also includes maintenance of public spaces located in Spa of the Pines as assigned. Essential Functions Cleaning and sanitizing all public space, bathrooms and furniture Cleaning, sanitizing, vacuuming, and otherwise keep maintained the Spa of the Pines when assigned. Vacuuming all hallways and public space and under furniture daily Dust all furniture and windows, wall hangings, light fixtures, signage and base boards in public space Shampoo carpets and remove stains from public space and guest rooms Stock linen for Housekeeping staff as requested Ability to collect and remove trash and recycling from both Housekeeping and Front desk daily Cross-training to also clean rooms and provide make-up/turndown service should this be requested during any given shift Must be prepared to support housekeeping in all related projects Be flexible to assist the front desk with any request relating to rooms and guests Must be friendly and knowledgeable to all guests and staff on property Must be able to work independently and effectively with little supervision while following all requires during a shift Requires grasping, lifting and or carrying or otherwise moving cleaning equipment and safety equipment using manual dexterity of hands Answer calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with rules and regulations of the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Thorough knowledge of cleaning restrooms and other public areas Ability to effectively work as a team Ability to manage tasks while also taking live calls for guests requests. Upon request, help in other areas of the resort within the Housekeeping Department. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Six (6) months housekeeping experience within a resort/hotel, commercial, or hospitality industry or similar, desirable. Neat, pleasant personality. Ability to speak, read, and understand basic instructions, room numbers and dates English. Ability to work on your feet for an extended period. Ability to communicate, collaborate, and interact with others positively and effectively. Ability to work independently and as a team. Willing to jump in and help others where needed. Must attend training related to position, Company values, policies, and procedures. Must be reliable, able to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as required. Must have reliable transportation to and from work; especially, during the winter season Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.00/Hr. - $17.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
