The role of the Local Accounting Representative reports to the Finance Director Tunisia and West Africa and to Global Business Services – Accounting Manager for the legal entities that will be centralized. Location is Tunis with frequent visit to Sfax

The company in scope are the following: EssilorSIVO entities, 8 legal entities across Tunisia, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon. This role includes aspects of financial accounting, management accounting and commercial reporting

 

Main responsibilities:

 

Key role in ensuring the reporting for consolidation and local management is accurate.

Strategic/pivotal role to coordinate GBS team (with feedbacks and insights), stakeholders and activities.

Supporting GBS in delivering the final reporting package and the local Financial Statements of the entities in scope.

Updating GBS and business on Statutory and Tax regulations and requirements.

Accounting Project Manager on dedicated streams with GBS and Business on specific topics.

Review of specific balance sheet accounts, based on importance and impacts.

Review and monitoring of business flows.

Review local contracts and agreements, ensuring proper coordination with GBS for postings.

Working closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure procedures and process improvements, liaising with local business functions.

Assisting Finance Manager with Budgeting/Quarterly Forecasting/3year strategic plan, i.e. providing the info requested from the Controlling department in order to facilitate Budgeting and Forecasting preparation and review

Ad hoc analysis and support to the business.

Local Authority Primary contact.

Local Tax contact for Tax Corporate Dpt. and external consultants, coordinating activities and requests (e.g. Transfer Pricing documentation).

Take over a leading role in preparation and management of internal and external audits.

      

Main requirements:

 

Diploma/Degree in Accounting

Minimum 5 years in accounting departments or finance roles in multinational companies or financial institutions.

Experience in Big4 will be a plus.

Experience with SAP implementation

Experience with Shared Service is a plus.

Advanced Microsoft user.

Projects management skills.

Accuracy, autonomy, and proactive attitudes.

Willingness to frequent local and international travel (drivers licence required).
