Linde Driver – In Store Sales Associates safely and efficiently deliver various products, including compressed gas cylinders, following a computerized local route to customers. They load and unload products at client sites and are physically active on the job. This position also interacts with customers, providing excellent customer service, answering inquiries, and selling various products in-store, including welding equipment and supplies, gases, and rentals.

What you will be doing:

Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked upComplete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulationsConduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsIdentify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance Build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing Provides customer support by taking phone orders, addressing inquiries, tracking order status and shipments and solving customer issuesAssess and recommends products while promoting additional sales of hard goods and gases to achieve target marginsConduct product demonstrations for customers using customer insight to drive and guide the development of new offerings Works closely with and provides sales support to Outside Sales teamMaintains customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricingPerforms warehouse duties and moving cylinders for customers as neededOther duties as assigned

What makes you great:

2 years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School Valid class A or BCDL is requiredCurrent Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 yearsNo alcohol related convictions within the last 10 yearsPass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificateCustomer Service or Counter Sales experience required; Industrial setting preferredKnowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 poundsRead and write in EnglishHigh School Diploma or GED required21 years or older Effective organizational, listening, and communication skillsUpholds high standards of honesty and integrityDemonstrates personal ownership for safety and actively contributes to a strong safety cultureContributes to a positive work environment where differences are valued and supportedStrives for personal achievement and helps others attain resultsEnsures accountability through collaboration and interpersonal skills
