Local Fleet Coordinator

Forward is a single resource for your shipping needs.   Position: Local Fleet Coordinator   Core Responsibilities & Duties: Track and trace all load assignments to ensure accuracy and delivery of time-sensitive freight Communicate with drivers to ensure on-time service is provided for all customer shipments Attach and remove trailer identifiers, such as magnets and decals Collect and distribute paperwork to and from drivers Preparing dispatch documents and generating freight bills and invoices planning routes and accommodating route changes Monitoring truck repaid and maintenance schedules Monitor miles run while freight is in transit to ensure accurate delivery times and notify customers of any potential delays if needed Maintain accurate records to include time and date stamps, trailer numbers, etc. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse in accordance with supervisor instructions Communicate with customers efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally Manage warehouse inventory, including scanning, marking, and labeling freight and paperwork Other duties as assigned Job Requirements & Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departments Must be able to manually lift up to 50 lbs. Must be proficient in using email, networking programs (including Slack and Teams), and spreadsheets (including Airtable and Excel) Must be willing to work a flexible schedule Multiple languages such as Spanish is required Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
