ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s growing I-64 team is looking for a Local Government Transportation Lead to join our VHB team.
Our team uses its skills and experience to improve our communities with a sustainable, context driven and integrated project delivery mindset. Our clients include municipalities, VDOT and other state agencies, and private partners who support the development of the places we live, work, recreate and learn. Key responsibilities include client management, highway design, drainage design, signal designs development of traffic management plans, cost estimating, right-of-way and layout plans. Beyond designs effort, duties will include transportation planning that range from small area studies to statewide policy development for local, state, and federal agencies.

ResponsibilitiesLead transportation market for municipal Support state and federal transportation programs and assignmentsOversee multidisciplinary project Managing the development of technical design and specification Manage traffic engineering, transportation planning, and/or safety projects and contracts.Oversee quality and contribute to complex technical decisions on a range of multimodal transportation engineering assignments.Assist in strategic planning, marketing, resource allocation, maintenance of deliverable schedules, and ensure adherence to projects.
